PlasmaLab
High-temperature plasma and namely thermonuclear fusion research became one of quickly growing and most inovative fields during the past decades namely thanks to the constrruction of the Internationa Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) in south France. Following this trend, a new laboratory of hot plasmas and plasma diagnostic PlasmaLab@CTU is being built at the Faculty of Nuclear Scineces and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University. The project is supported by the Operational Program Reserch, Developement and Education of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
The aim of the laboratory
The laboratory is designed as a set of hands-on experiments that should support the understanding and skills of the students.
The sections of the PlasmaLab
The laboratory will consist of four major sections:
Similar Labs in Europe
PlasmaLab@TU/e at the Technical University in Eindhoven
York Plasma Institute Laboratories in the United Kingdom.
E-lab remote laboratories at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon.
